I marched JSU for two years and I know that we were corps style, and we played symphonic music and actually marched hard, fast and complex drill. All while rammin notes, and it was clean. I haven't seen too many other college drumlines, I know RCC is good, they've proved it...can we say WGI? JSU has consistently proven their talent every year that they went to PASIC. MTSU, UNT....I mean, you guys really need to get out more and see some REAL drumlines. Not this show band crap. If any of you are in the south, near Alabama. You really do owe it to yourself to see a JSU field show. JSU usually goes to a BOA event, if not every year, at least every other year. Get out and see more drumlines than these big name colleges with popular football teams. Corps style is where it is at...in my opinion. Like I said previously, this topic is totally based on opinion. I am not trying to offend anyone btw...

Florida State has/had an awesome line. I just recently talked with a snare player from there, and he had a lot to say about that kind of stuff. Their line was a lot better back when it was the Big 8 drumline, which was nothing more than a sort of dynasty that continued the drumline tradition. One of the Big 8 members got kicked out, and the rest of the returning Big 8 quit. So the whole drumline dissolved.
