'86 was the first year I went to DCI Finals so I'll always have a soft spot for that year.

You're lucky to see DCI back in the "Hey Day". Anyways, back to the lines. Anybody remember '86 Suncoast Sound??? Great show and an AWESOME bassline.

Heck yeah. That was the year they had that crazy bass run-tacet section in the middle of the show right? That's a drumline I would have loved to have been in. That corps is sorely missed...

And I still say Blue Devils 2003. There snare lines were god-like, and then tenors didn't miss.

2000 Cadets. I'd love to have been on that tenor line, just for the solo in "Adventure." We watched that video during band camp...The whole band was just in awe. I loved it.
Also, the '93 Cadets had an awesome line, as well. I have their solo downloaded, and it gives me the chills.

I would choose the 1993 Star of Indiana percussion section. It was the best writing and best execution I have ever heard.

If he means the pit when referring to the Star 1993 percussion "section", then I could agree Rob. While they did not have the beefy, meaty runs of old, they certainly had the most "concert" style approach to writing and playing.

Of course the percussion section. Unless you play tuba and are posting on a Drumline website.
