As most of you know from having read the DLOFDC Rules, the Top Three corps of each division that score the highest at the three major regionals win an extra caption change. Below are the results for the Kalamazoo competition, the first of the awarding regionals. Congratulations to the following groups!

Division 1
1. The Brassiers - 85.400
2. Yogiboo - 85.250
3. The Engineers* - 85.200

Division 2
1. The Gladiators - 83.800
2. Voodoo Regiment - 83.500
3. Viking - 82.975

Division 3
1. The Existentialists - 84.450
2. The Incredibles! - 82.95
3. The 28th Pole Vaulters - 82.35

Division 4
1. The Mechanical Falcons - 83.850
2. The Lions - 81.550
3. Randleman Marching Tigers - 81.300

There was a tie* between two Division 1 corps for third place; those two corps were the Marching Southerners and The Engineers. However, The Engineers win the extra caption change because they had the higher GE Music Caption. Vien, here is your consolation prize:

The competition was very intense, which shows that anyone can still win the Championship. As we find ourselves nearing the end of the season, the DLOFDC Executive Committee would like to thank ALL of the groups for their hard work and dedication. We wish you good luck with the rest of the 2005 edition of DLOFDC

Special thanks to DLWebMaestro, who, during his vacation, jumped on his computer long enough to straighten the tie situation. He also awarded the caption changes for these 12 groups so that they could be used before the major regional in San Antonio on the 23rd. Thanks again, Josh!

It is easy to drown in praise, but it is constructive criticism that keeps us swimming.
