The Madison Scouts have commissioned a new uniform for the 2003 season.

What ARE they thinking? I dig the fleur-de-lis in the uniform but they really should take one of the older Scouts' uniforms and updated it with sleeker lines or something. I'd be really surprised if the current prototype ever makes it to the field this summer due to the huge dislike for the uniform so far.

Obviously, uniforms are not the most fashionable outfit, but what were they thinking? Kinda hard on the eyes when you first see it. I agree with Hulka, they should've updated the older Scouts uniform.

I like the leprechaun comment...very appropriate! The uniform reminds me of something that the 2-face guy on Batman would have worn!! Man...talk about Schizophrenic!
It kind of does look like a leprechaun gone mad, and I do think that Harvey Dent (Twoface) would be proud to wear it on St. Patty's day.
I understand the idea that they were working on, but I don't think that they executed it correctly. I think that they could use a combination of this design as well as elements of the old one. Sort of like this:
It has the new fleur-de-lis, which I think could work on the uniform, keeps the color scheme balanced and it also keeps the distinctive red sash from the present uniform.
I do like that version better. It's still missing something though. I'd say wings and a bigger collar but then that would be too close to the Cavaliers' uni. An absolute must is a citation cord added to one side (if I can remember back to high school I think it goes on your left). They still need to get bigger aussies like the Cavaliers though.

I think that the cords definately need to be there. I looked on their web site and it is indeed on the left shoulder. I made 2 versions, one with the cord and the different aussie and one with that as well as the two silver stripes on the sash.
Dude, your designs are better than Cesario's! The one on the right is kind of hip and still looks like the Madison Scouts.

That's what happens when you marry yourself a guard instructor. You start becoming aware of colors and design choices. I've already designed flags and scenery, so I guess uniforms should fall in there, too. My next trick will be to start arranging flowers.
I want to get feedback from others because I'd like to submit this to the Madison organization, as I think it would serve them better than the design they have shown. Maybe they'll consider it.
