Wow, Seans solo is really easy. They make it looks so hard and intimidating in the movie, but playing that is a sinch. We play the D&K The Senate cadence from Drumline at my school but we changed it around a lot. I think I'll add this solo in it somewhere. It will basically be a whole cadence based off of stuff from the movie.
Please don't tell me you're serious.

Actually, they taught them the basics, for some shots, and then actual players, one called Snoop, Devon's double, played the shots that were showing the sticks hitting the drums. The only real people that played were Jason, and the other dude. All the other people were from real bands including FAMU, TSU, Clark-Atlanta University, and many other college showstyle marching bands. Just a little fact for you there.

Yeah, they didn't teach the actors anything but how to move their shoulders like they were drumming. Devon and Sean had doubles, if you have the dvd what the commentary. It's actually pretty interesting during the little battle thing between Sean and Devon while Devon is getting recorded. Also - if you watch the deleleted scenes, either homecoming or dr.lee directs, Devon walks on to the field with the rest of the line and hes not even playing his drum. - Edited for double-posting. You have up to six hours to click the Edit button and add thoughts or comments to an existing post. - Every other time you go through the solo you switch off hands on the three lefts in a row. So its actually Rlll(and you bring the right arm up with the visual) but then the next time its Rrrr, and you bring the left arm up with the visual. Good job writing this down man. And the pre-solo cadence - really good job notating that.
