I am looking at the brochure for U of Pitt today and it says they got a marching band... awsome of course. But it also says they have an African Drumming Ensemble...HOW AWSOME
i think i may have to go to pitt just for that

African Drumming Ensemble as in they use African drums? They Play in Africa? Everyone is from Africa? They Play 'Africa Hot'?

Pitt is not the only school with an african drumming ensemble, WVU also has one. And a better drumline but Im biased on that statement. But we also have a huge steel drum program, which i have done for a year, which is headed by ellie minette, (the inventor of the modern day steel drum). there are alot a lot of drum programs in colleges u should take a look at more then jsut one school.

yea man..open your eyes...and take a look around...

there's plenty of ensembles in large colleges.

Eastfield, which is a part of the Dallas Community College system, even has a African Percussion Ensemble.

pitt's african ensemble is "interesting".

i'll leave it at that.
