Knowing rudiments will always be useful, and never be a thing of the past. Some rudiments are useless, but the majority were listed so when that pattern came up it would be as simple as playing it like everything else. If it weren't for rudiments when you saw PDD's you'd pee in your pants, but you've practiced them so you've got nothing to worry about them. It's why winds do scales too.

Why not compile/make your own?
the only way to advance yourself as a musician is to get better at what is difficult for you. So get your pad and a sheet of paper and write out the hardest licks and combos that you think of. take them very slow and ensure technique and coordination. If you can push yourself, there's no limit to where you can go
