I think AUTO DIV I should have been all of the participating corps from last season. There were only about 30 of us, and some didn't come back...

Well that would only make it worse since the new people would not be given a chance. I believe what they decided to do was right.

Do the Qualifying show and get on with it. You can always catch up to division I by the end of the season. It's just a matter of the captions that you put.

Thanks for you 2 cents Christine, however it was the Executive Committee's decision to only allow auto Div 1 to the top 17 from last season. The reason was to allow newer corps the opportunity to make it in. Like Patricia said, consider the captions you choose and make it happen. Remember if you place tops in your Division (top3-4) you will get into Div 1 for next season

Not to mention that those rules have been in place for a while now, and you didn't say anything about them until now, when you're placed in Division 2.....

I don't fully understand the way ya'al figure out the scores and such. I'm going to go look through the threads again...

The scores for the qualifying show were figured from the Indianapolis Regional from 2003. Feel free to double check the results. Bottom line: You are in Div 2. No shame in that

Not the scores for the qualifying, I meant scores over all. Maybe if I had a better understanding of it, I could pick my captions better...so I'm gonna go research.

Is there going to be some message about when we have to readjust our captions to 120 after being moved to Div. II??? I made my changes but wanted to know if there was any formal process.

Josh can hopefully do the rest, but if he doesnt do it once, remind him after a few days...3 is a good number. We all know data entry isn't the most exciting thing in the world, so I think we can give him a little flexibility to slack

I read the rules over a few times and I didn't see the answer I was looking for. Although I could have (more than likely) missed it. So now for my question: Did the qualifying show count as the "First show of the seaon", or do we still have unlimited caption changes? Thanks.

In case you missed it, the season does not start until June 18th. That is, unless DCI is lying to us.
