This is a fine year and a tradition to keep it a go. The Fivesters from Nashville formed a Division II Corps in Miami, Florida. They loved the way the turnout went from the first year. Giving the Fivesters an 11th place finish at Finals was great. The corps Division I Director said she is more than thrilled to have the Fivesters where they are. Knowing that there is such wonderful talent in Florida the staff thought twice and located our division II corps in Miami. This should be great. The corps will not only give the members hot and fresh air but wonderful walks along the beach. The entire staff has decided a show that will be announced later. The Music City Fivesters will have a familyhood like no other. Their shows are being determined on how they will be executed and showned. Rumors have that the Cadets will be doing Revolution from the Cavaliers in 1992 but those are just rumors. There will also be the weekly and daily "Fivesters Cadets Notes of Doom" and "Fivesters Notes of Doom." These will keep you all up to date on what is going on with our organization. The staff is expecting a lot of members for the Division II corps as well as the Division I. Both of the corps will have their tryouts Saturday, May 14th,15th and 16th 2004. The tryouts will all be in the Fivesters Headquarters of Nashville, Tennessee. The school is Centennial High School for drumline and Page High School for Horns. Colorguard has not been decided and will be at two different schools. Freedom Middle School and Freedom Intermediate. We encourage for everyone to come. If you think you are not able to make Division I and come out for Division II there might be a chance you might make it into Division I. This camp will determine which corps you will be doing. However, some people decide that the one that is closest to them is the best one. Those can be chosen at a later date. Drumline tryouts will consist of two places as well. Here is the schedule for all of the tryouts.

"Fivesters Notes of Doom"

"Age-out to help with current new corps"

Lisa Simpson and age-out from the Music City Fivesters was called by Drew Douglas and was asked to help the Williams brothers in arranging the music. Lisa Simpson will be taking the Percussion Arranger 2 as the Williams brothers will be taking Percussion 1 Arrangers. Lisa will be in charge of the arranging of the tenors and the pit. She is very happy to be offered this spot. Most of the members do not recognize Lisa from the last years. With her Bluecoats experience the corps will be in good hands. Drew Douglas said that if the corps needed more staff members he would call people and would offer them what was left and needed. Lisa just landed a lucky spot for herself. The corps has good intentions of making a good name for themselves in their first season just like the brother corps Music City Fivesters did last season finishing in the top 12. The Fivesters organization plans to make a Division III corps for the next year but is in its doubts as of now.

Fivesters Notes of Doom

The Fivesters had a terrific practice part and are ready to kick off the season with their home show along with surrounding bands from the area. Mark Steep, one of the Percussion Caption Heads is glad that the season is coming in a roll. Drew Douglass could not be happier of starting the first season as a drum corps director. Appointed by the Fivesters Organization Lisa Simpson the new added Percussion Arranger for the pit and tenors has been working hard with the ensemble and the tenors. She is very excited of working with all of them and wishes that this is not the only season that this gift will happen to her.

She has been offered a spot with the Music City Fivesters next year arranging for the percussion section. Patricia Hernandez wanted her to teach and arrange for them a show. Lisa said that she is happy where she is considering that she is working with people that she hardly knew and got to know as the practice camps went on.
The Fivesters organization are thinking of putting an indoor line towards the organization. This could help the drummers stay drumming and drilling year round.

The Fivesters Cadets came with a strong season opener. Their show which has a latin twist to it came very strong. They made 2nd place and hope to continue to succeed as the season goes. The corps director was very proud for just hearing the show go on at competition in front of thousands of screaming Div II and Div III fans. Drew said "This season has showed me that there may be something to these kids that can attract such an audience to these competitions."

The Fivesters wish good luck to their brothers in Div I for their competition tommorrow.

The Fivesters Cadets will host a clinic of their own during their Home show in Miami, Florida this July 6th.

Most of the staff will have booths and many sponsors will be there handing free stuff. A lot of the corps Section leaders will be explaining some of the show and how drum corps has changed their life so far.

Fivesters will also march in the Fourth of July parade in Miami. They will be marching alongside some of the greatest names in Miami.
