*Drum Captain Announcement.*

Last year's drum captain, Jake Snow, is not able to march this year. Replacing Jake is our youngest member, 15 year old Quinn O'Reilly. Quinn has done a terrific job with the corps, and has earned this honor. None of the older percussionists are disgruntled in any way. The entire section respects Quinn's talent and leadership ability, and are excited to see what he can do for the line. Good luck, Quinn!

The Pretenders First camp is tomorrow! the 29th. Come on out to Strawberry Stadium in Hammond to check them out! Members will be staying in the music dorms of SLU, and all DLO members are invited to join them!

***Home show. Laissez Le Bon Temps Roule

The corps left at 10:00 pm tonight to travel to Martha's Vineyard for their show on Sunday. They travel via plane. After careful consideration, the PTB decided that it would be easier on the musicians to travel by plane for this one show, getting there early Saturday morning. This allows for the corps to practice, and be well rested before the show Sunday. The rest of the shows will be traveled to via bus. We thank our financier, Donald Trump, for financing this trip.

I think I better keep this as a standard "response" for a while. Ill just sub out the name and score. HA HA!

Christine, Sorry to rain on your parade, but your score isnt complete. If you would have looked carefully at the recaps for the show your performed at, you should have noticed that you had a score of 44.80. doesnt that seem a little low to you? If you would have looked even closer, you would have seen that you had 0.00 in two captions. That means that all the DCI scores for tonight HAVE NOT been entered yet. Conclusion? Be a little more thorough when you read the scores. Your score is going to go up. You might even win too! But since you cemented yourself into second place with your "pat-on-the-back" post, that's where you shall stay Muah ha ha!

...Out of three people, 2nd isn't that bad...

Oh well, I didn't look at it thoroughly. I just saw I was in the middle.

The Pretenders were THRILLED by their placing Sunday at Marta's Vineyard. They took second place, increasing their score by almost 2 points.

Tomorrow the Pretenders arrive in Harlem NY for their third show. Hopefully, those number's keep rising!

to the Superdome. It was a fantastic day, and hundreds of pounds of crawfish, and gallons of beer were enthusiastically consumed. It was a terrific competition, and the corps was thrilled with their third place ranking. Thanks to all the corps for participating!

With the end of season 2, The Pretenders are already psyched up for season 3. Though not kicking [expletive deleted] as they had hoped, they stayed steady, and are confident this upcoming season will be the turnaround.
