VDL and Rumble are both Kontakt Instruments so yes. After doing a bit of reading, Rumble claims to double as a composition/production tool. They have some SoundCloud clips on the website link you gave.

I don't like the intervals the tenors are tuned to, I think I might stick to VDL at this point.

The sounds are also very limited in Rumble. $300 for a battery library that isn't as deep in sounds as VDL with some sketchy tuning schemes.

It's not even BD's tuning scheme.

Agreed. Avid included a sample of rumble instead of VDL lite with Sibelius 7. I didn't use to own VDL 2.0, but I will probably get it just because I am so unsatisfied with Rumble. The biggest issue I have with it is balance between sections. The bass drums are practically inaudible. I always have to crank both the snare and tenor down in the mixer and push the bass all the way up. The tenors also just don't sound good. The only thing I like about it is the snare sound.
