Is it just me or is activity on DLO slowing down? or is it just the lull between marching band and winter line?

My view from the cheap seats

This is a pretty busy time of year for people who work for groups and everyone who doesn't work for groups really don't have anything to talk about at the moment. Happens every year, carry on.

Can't speak for the community, but personally, getting the season kicked off and drill written for my independent indoor line has kept me really busy. I noticed I hadn't been on in a while until the last couple days. Seems like you may be on to something.

I have been around this board for several years, and I will agree that the amount of traffic has been pretty low here lately. I am sure the rest of the staff (I know I would) be open to suggestions on how to stimulate the masses.

If there were some activity to do or some other ideas. I already sent a dozen or so ideas to the main office, most probablly are not doable with this format but I think some fresh ideas would do us some good. It can't hurt...

I can speak on behalf of myself, but I really got locked down with everything going on this year. Thus I've been absent from the boards for the past few months. Every once in awhile when I do get to check things, it does look kind of slow. Just gotta start getting something to flow, you know?

I slowed my posts because (1 I got tired of the same ten discussions that always come up, and posting the same reply (2 got REALLY busy touring with/teaching 3 World class groups, while writing for 3 others in open/A . (3 stopped commenting on the Gossip/opinion threads when I became staff on some rather high profile groups, because I want to keep those gigs.
If someone has a legitimate question that I can answer accurately, then I post.

I think you are right, this is the end of the 1st period/term for many High School students and also a holiday when some have returned home from college even for just the week end. So the end of Marching and the beginning of Indoor seasons must have some effect as shows are being put together as well.

All forums have slowed down compared to what they were in years previous since Face Book and other outlets have become popular. You will probably see more activity on DLO`s Face Book as well.
