Come March Imperial Percussion Theater! IPT, as the organization is more commonly known as, has made numerous changes this summer. The group has moved a majority of its operations to central Texas, Manor High School to be exact. This is approximately 15 minutes outside of Austin and its suburbs (Round Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown) and around an hour from San Antonio. This places it as an opportune organization if you attend any high school in that area or the large college campuses nearby as well (such as UT Austin, Texas State, UT San Antonio, and many more). IPT also has added many awesome members to its staff, only furthering the amount of experience and teaching background this group already has. With a small ageout class in 2011, the 2012 season looks awfully bright as the group moves to World Class, both in the TCGC Circuit in Texas, as well as the WGI circuit nationwide. The group will be attending one if not two WGI regional events as well heading up to Dayton, Ohio for the 2012 WGI World Championships. This all adds up to a very exciting year for this bright indoor line. Auditions are nearing their beginning, both in the Austin area as well as in the groups original home in Cypress, Texas, just outside of Houston. Posted below is the link to the auditions page, where you can find more information on dates and the cost of auditioning ($40 one time fee). If you live even within 5 hours (or even more!) of the Austin area, I HIGHLY encourage you to come check out Imperial Percussion Theater. If you have an questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to private message me, and I will have it answered as quick as possible. Look forward to seeing lots from the Drumlines.org community at the auditions! Happy Drumming! smile
