Thanks Mephistefales, i may look into doing something like that. I never really thought of using wood, but it would work.

SkyDog: Im going up to my Percussion Store in a couple days, so i will look at the sticks yo suggested. I dont remember if i stated it or not, but my Quads are your "Small Block" set. I put the new heads on there, but to be honest, i havent had enough time with the drums to tune them properly, with pitches and all. But what i did, was i found a video on YouTube, of Jim Baily i think, playing the tenors. And i just matched the pitches of his. They sound pretty good, in my opponion.

I need to overpower the snares because...well...they cant play. I dont have a heck of a lot of room to talk, Like i said, Im pretty much starting to learn more then the simple basics of Marching snare and Quads, but they cant successfully put s hit on 2 and 4, let alone play a cadence or anything else. So Im trying to help them as much as possible. But i have talked to my band director, and we both agree that when it comes to playing in front of people, we give them 7A's, and me play a little louder.
