Hello
DLO,
As the subject says, this is a shameless plug for my new site,
http://CoryARobbins.com. I posted about a year ago that I was working on a series of books, but life happened, and I had to put that on hold. Well, I have resumed work on the project, and I have a completed first volume for sale on Amazon.com, my eStore, and soon will be selling it directly through my site. I also just submitted the first volume to Row-Loff.
In addition to the completion of the first volume, I also have the second volume almost completed. I need to insert some reference images, but otherwise, it is done. I should be submitting it to the post-authoring team within the next week or two.
Anyway, I created this website with the initial intent of it being a "brochure" style site, meaning that its only purpose was advertising. Well, I quickly realized that settling for that sort of thing wasn't an option, so I redesigned it to be a full fledged Joomla! 1.6 CMS based site. Then I realized that while Joomla! is a beast in terms of a CMS, its blogging functionality... not so much, so then I spent an hour or two working on integrating WordPress into the Joomla! site. As some of you may know, when it comes to blogging, WordPress is King! The site now offers the feature set that will allow me to bog about my books as well as offering advice on things that are percussion related and some things that might not be so musical. So that brings us up to today. I think I have the site pretty much like I want it.
That being said, I am here to call on the OCD ridden collection of people that some refer to as percussionists. If you guys don't mind sparing a few moments, it would be my honor to have you poor over the site, and if you are feeling gracious, or feel that I am in some way deserving, clicking a "like" button here and there would be pretty awesome too.
Thanks for all of your time, and just because I'm already typing, thanks for being so supportive of such a wide span of percussionists. It is pretty cool to have such a huge community that I am sure I can turn to when I need tid bits of information and support.
Again, the address is
