Apparently that's how it works now Bill. Obviously, all you need is to see someone on YouTube and that makes you friends. My neighbor took lessons from Louie Bellson in the 60's and Bellson was married to Pearl Bailey who starred in Hello, Dolly with Cab Calloway who appeared in the Blues Brothers with Carrie Fisher who was in Star Wars with Harrison Ford who was under the direction of George Lucas in Indiana Jones where the score was composed by John Williams. So, yeah, John Williams and I are pals. I'll post some videos of him later.

2.) Do not try to pull off that you are friends with McIntosh, Queen, Johnson, Banished, or any other well-known composer or drummer. There are more connections than you know out in the drumming world. Do not fall ignorant to trying to say [quote]

"oh yeah bro, I eat cereal with Casey Brohard and have sleep overs with Nick Angelis"

For three snares...
if you're willing to experiment with different grips...
(this is if you're facing the snareline)
guy on right- regular tradish grip
center- match or double tradish.
guy on the left- reverse tradish.

I know "that's dumb", but I always thought that'd look cool to randomly see each snare use a different grip
