This was a piece that me and another guy worked on for a while. It is an indoor drumline piece that is based on the myth of Pandora's Box.

http://jessestevens.posterous.com/pandoras-box-indoor-drumline-final

Battery: Chris Yashko

Front Ensemble: Jesse Stevens

Pandora’s Box:

Movement 1:

Pandora is given a box that holds all the evil in the world. She is told not to open it,

but her curiosity gets the best of her.

Movement 2:

Pandora opens the box and all the evils are unleashed. There is nothing anyone can do.

Intro into Movement 3:

The evils from the box have totally destroyed the Earth and there seems to be no hope.

Movement 3:

As you look in the box, there is a faint glimmer of hope. Can this save the human race?

Movement 4:

As the last remaining hope survives in the box. It is up to Pandora’s to capture the evil! Can she pull it off in time?

Sorry to say man, this is already out there. Key Poulan did made it for both marching band and indoor percussion. I think another company did it to. May I suggest adjusting the title just slightly to avoid copyright infringement? Seems like a good show though. Nice work.

Seriously? You're thinking that a copyright on the title "Pandora's Box" could stand up? It's a myth title. The myth itself is public domain, and the OP can use the title if he so wishes.

Now, if you're suggesting that since the idea has been used before that the OP should explore other possibilities . . . well, I'm just glad Bach didn't follow that kind of advice or we wouldn't have a large portion of his works.

As long as the OP isn't using Poulan's (or this other company's) original music or original text, there really isn't a problem here.

Any comments on the music instead of the title?
