If you're looking for a good warm up book Vic Firth has one for free. Even if you don't use it, it's a good tool to see what a good warm up book looks like and it might give you some ideas and answer questions.

Just the thing I've been looking for. I haven't played those exercises in years (just getting back into drumming) but boy do they bring back memories. Thanks for the link, I'll put it to good use with my new line.

All the things listed in this thread have been super helpful, seeing as I'll be teaching for the first time this season. For my line I'm planning on having some pretty standard exercises: eight on a hand, helicopters, accent the tap, and a diddle/triplet exercise. I'll add and subtract once I see the show music and the needs of the line.
