well, to answer the "jefe" question, it was a word that we made up, since most of the drumline took Spanish. Al least, I believe it's made up, but I wouldn't know, since I only took three years of spanish and barely scraped by.

Jefe isn't made up. El jefe translates from Spanish to English as the chief or the boss.
