Quite a few projected caption scores for DCI were taking some nose dives coming into our preliminaries. Because of this, if a DCI corps' caption score would go down from their previous projected score for our preliminary competition, I manually raised it back to their last real score. This way, everyone's scores should have gone up for their prelim scores.
