Maybe it's faulty glue?

I hope they get new dreams in time for Championships but they might ride it out since they'll get new drums next year so why build new drums?

Just my opinion.

I don't know, but it shouldn't happen.

For now its only cosmetic and you have to be close up on the tenors to see it. So I doubt they will replace a line of tenors.
I know when this happened to Cadets in 95, the finish they initially had was a what Pearl called alpine frost. looked awesome like a pearl white. soon after tour started the covering warped so Pearl made them a new battery for the end of tour which was a dark green. so its possible they will do it.. BD is the highest profile corps Dynasty has. They want the drums to look perfect

but if I bought a new battery and that happened after one week of band camp. I would be looking to switch brands.

You can try Blue Devils though. They're selling that.

Aww, BD's drums aren't pearlescent though. frown oh well

They bubbled w/ white wraps? That is strange. I would have to think it was a bad glue job in just that batch and that it just went to the BDs. Same thing happen to any other corps? We just got Dynasty drums that were light blue and we've left em out in the black cases (I have no idea why they thought that was a good idea) and there was no bubbling.

The blue devil tenors are warping, or were, under the rim. like the head tensioning down was forcing the wrap to bubble. I do not think it was from sunlight in this case. As far as I know, no other corps have had that issue

Maybe it's a badly cut wrap? Like there isn't enough space between the rim and wrap?

I'm sure it is a bad wrap.

On the other hand, the Phantom snare came with a Black Max and falam snare side, used of course.

could be a combination of things, the wrap being too thick and the new Evan heads are tight against the shell. or the wrap is overlapped too much and when the head is tightened it bubbles the covering. either way still is sucks..

I'm still awaiting those pictures of the 93' Cadets Snare.

I contacted Columbus Percussion and I told them what I wanted and they tried their best to hook me up. At first I bought a 2008 Glassmen Snare but it was already sold to a school. So Joel Steward from Columbus contacted Mark Reynolds from Dynasty and they apologized to me and Mark told me he will try his best to hook me up with drum of my choice that was available at the time. It was either Phantom Regiment or Blue Devils. I chose Phantom Regiment and a month later, it arrived.

Keep in mind, due to the technical problems, I waited around 2 months for a drum.

If any of you are interested, I have a PDF file of USED drums that are currently being sold by Yamaha. They also have a couple of NEW drums intended for Corps that were never used because they were extras.
