There were a ton of notes played on that '93 Cadets drum and we got regularly spanked by that drumline all summer long that year.
Since this thread has turned into a "show off your snares" thread here's my latest acquisition since becoming a Pearl artist. Pearl Championship FFXC 14" snare drum in Emerald Mist lacquer with chrome hardware.
For those of you playing along with the home game, yes, this is an '09 Santa Clara Vanguard snare drum. As luck/fate would have it I had a drum in mind to get being the Emerald Mist lacquer, carbonply inner layer and chrome hardware. The nice folks at Pearl told me they had an extra, unused SCV drum and it was mine if I wanted it. I jumped on it because it was the EXACT specs I was wanting.

I had no idea one could get the carbonply treatment without the carbon fiber exterior. I wonder how many corps do that?
Makes me tempted to shell out for one...which I need about as much as an extra hole in the head.
They started doing that in 2006 for higher profile corps.. first one I saw was Phantom with the cranberry fade, with inner ply of carbon fiber.. as for this year.. the only Pearl sponsored corps not using the carbon ply drums, are Mandarins and Spirit both are using standard championship series with custom finish.
A drum like that probably runs close to 8 hundred dollars. we got a new line and custom finish and chrome hardware added 120 on per drum. That was minus the Carbon Ply
That is a sweet drums Scott. One of my favorites Pearl has done

Aside from you looking like a madman with that grin, Hulka, that is a nice looking drum. and Pearl in general has been very nice in their new ideas and using carbon fiber in the shells.
Sweet acquisition, overall.

thats hilarious. I was laughing so hard when i read it. as for the snare, it looks immaculate. It has a vivid design. dynasty has many finishes, but when i viewed them on there website, they all looked dull and bland, almost like carpet. Im glad they look prettier in real life
