to me i think MOST sticks are used for feel. You can tune the hands a certain to make a drum sound good with any sticks. Use the sticks that feel best to your hands/line's hands

I like Ralphies. Has anyone ever heard a Tenor Hybrid on a 13" sfz? It's a nice clean sound.

no comment on the hybrids but i love scojos. I have a friend that teaches at a neighboring school and he swears by innovative's FS-1. I think innovative sticks feel cheaper than vic firth so i would go with scojos

Innovatives feel nice in my opinion. And sound alright, but Vic Firth beats everything.

Must of gotten lucky and not found a bad VF stick. I do agree with you though, a solid pair of VF's feels a lot more.....Hmmm..."valuable" then a pair of nice IP's. It almost feels like IP is made of a cheap wood or something. But as of recently with VF, Things have just been getting bad.

I find that Hardimons are the best on a yamaha but on pearl i actually prefer scojo's and i always use the wood tips. Although i don't use pearl very much i keep a pair of scojo's just incase ineed them.

I agree Hardimons for sfz and Scojo for Pearl. They're both nice sticks.

Hold on, am I missing something?

Since when does the drum company matter with the stick choice? Sure you get a diffrent sound depending on the company and the stick, but I never really thought each company's drums felt diffrent.

Am I missing something? Or is anyone else on board with me?
