excuses are like buttholes...everyone has them and they all stink

thank youu!!! i was trying to remember this phrase from low brass my freshman year.



here's my contribution:

from the instructor:
"there's no girls in drumline!" [we had two girl bass players last year and toughened them up. not that they weren't already tough]
"there's no freshmen in drumline!" [noone in drumline gets canned in the traditional canning of the freshmen during homecoming]

"If you have a hole next to you, raise your hand"

"If you are going to make a mistake, make it loud"

"You are playing an instrument of violence. HIT IT!"

"I can't do it. That would be the SMART thing to do."

That sounds like the infamous:

"That makes to much sense to do it that way"

Time for me to pitch in.

Anytime our instructor wants us to put our drums on he says "STRAP ON, GUYS!"

One time we were playing the show standing still and a trumpet player kept moving his trumpet and couldn't keep it still for some reason and our band director yelled "GET IT UP AND FREEZE IT!!!"
We laughed so hard...and got so many pushups...
but it was totally worth it.

our drumline tends to say "STOP HACKING FOR GOD SAKE".
and
"WE HAVE A HACKFEST ON ISLE 4!"

"Don't F up"

"That was Sh** do it again"

"let's go to whittier!"

"you gotta want it!"
