The season has ended. After a weak start, and then an amazing outbreak during which the corp medaled in nearly every show, The Wolves finished ranked 5th in Division 3 in the 2008 season
"After placing 2nd in Quaterfinals, the 'post-season' seemed to be our time to shine. But, it being our first season, we let our emotions and excitement get the best of us and just over played and we payed for it. It was still an incredibly exciting season and I can't wait for next year," said Drum Major Cris McKoy
Although they didn't medal The Wolves did have something to cheer about. Aside from ranking so highly in their first season, the Wolves won the Colorguard caption for Division 3, Tied for first place for General Effect:Music, and Tied for third place for General Effect:Visual.
When asked about the corps season Caption Head, TJ Woolfolj, had this to say, "Over all this wasn't a bad season at all. We did incredibly well during the season. The kids just cracked under pressure during Championships. But they made it into the top five, in the first season!!! That is incredible. I'm am extremely proud of these kids and their accomplishments. Here's hoping next year we medal in Finals"
The corp did indeed have an amazing season. They started off well by earning the Bronze in 3 of their first 3 shows. Then after four shows in which they placed 9th(out of 34), 4th(out of 9), 6th(out of 11)and 4th(out of 9) The Wolves morale was low. But after a day of relaxation, the corp would come back to medal in three straight shows earning the Silver in San Diego, The first gold of the season in Colorado Springs, and another Bronze in Kalamazoo.
In Lousville the Wolves would come within .06 of winning their 4th straight medal, but would be edged by Goodhomer1. After a 7th place(out of 13) finish in New York City, A sixth place(out of 14) finish in milton, and an 11th place(out of 14) in Valdosta, The Wolves traveled to Denver Colorado where they would take the Siler Medal. This would then start an incredible streak during which the corp would medal in 17 of 18 shows!!!!
"That was the best time of the season," said Drum Captain Eric King. "The entire corp was just vibing off of the energy that we got. And we just performed like crazy during that entire stretch. It was so un-real."
Un-real indeed. Things were clearly looking up as the corp went into Championships weekend having won Gold in 5 straight shows. But things just weren't meant to be for this young corp. The 2008 season ended with a 5th place finish. but this season showed that the future is definitely bright for The Wolves.

A huge congratilations goes out to all of the corps who competed this season. And a thank you to the rest of Division 3 for making this first season one to remember
