UPS guaranteed the arrival of my pad by next friday. smile I can wait. waiting one week for a $35 slim pad WITH laminate beats buying a slim pad for the same price (without laminate) locally.

Besides, not everyone has a Sam Ash store in their area. (Like me, for example) Or even a place that has them in stock. (Again, like me)

So really, I had no choice. :P

same here. if there's a Sam Ash around i have no knowledge of it. and i agree with mike i'd rather wait for it w/ the laminates rather than having to buy the laminates separate.

Alright i have a question for y'all. My basement flooded from the sanitary sewer recently, my bedroom was down there and my vic firth pad with the snare sound got ruined... along with most of my other things.

My question is, in your opioion, should replace the pad with the snares, or buy a heavy hitter? i hae a real feel and i love it, (and it was safe...) but i would like another pad that i can play without driving everyone around me crazy with the snare sound.

real feels (normal w/o snare) are quieter than heavy hitter, but heavy itter are not the loudest pads on the market, and hav a better feel than real feel, especially with the laminates, but the snare pad is quieter without the laminate

I have a hybrid.....I put a stock pad laminate on my real feel...hehe

It works great, see no need in getting anything else.
