Ok, my drumline's situation is a little unique. We have 5 people and we are not going to march. We have drum racks (much like the low end Pearl drum racks for set) that we mount the snares and basses and stuff on to, but to be more unique i had the idea to try to mount cymbals on top of the bass racks. The only problem is that the rack for the basses is only about an inch thick. Is there a rack clamp that can be bought that scales down this far? thanks for all the help.

You can find a clamp for just about any type of rack or tubing type. Something like THIS or THIS ought to work for 1" tubing.
