Anonymous Unregistered	Our line leaves room for the fulcrum. I've tried taping the whole stick but sometimes my hands would get swety and the stick would get slippery.

Anonymous Unregistered	I have my snareline tape the sticks full all the way from taper to butt. This is to keep hand sweat from logging the stick and subtrating from the good original sound quality. We try to minimize tape overlap as much as possible, so as not to add too much weight to any part of the stick.

But wouldn't the tape covering that much of the stick, hinder the resonation of the stick, thus hindering the original sound of the stick? My line taped 3" from the bead, to the bead. _________________________ I remember the silences, and I remember the screams... of the home stands going wild and the feeling of dreams. The music makers and those beautiful girls, doing a ten minute show that you wish would last forever...

wvdrummerboy Registered: 10/29/06 Loc: West Virginia	My line tapes the whole stick and its just not the snares that do it our quads and basses do it as well. We do it to match and to make our sticks not look as beat up. _________________________ I play drums!

davidmyers Registered: 01/05/06 Loc: Rosebud, TX	I tape my sticks from the bead to halfway down the stick. My reasoning is that I need the tape to prevent the stick from splitting/breaking, so I tape the only parts that will ever hit the drum or rim.
