Instead of counting to 4, count those measures as 2. I'm not sure if that makes sense, it's kind of hard to explain. Practice a lot and if you need to, ask someone for help. It would probably help you a lot if they played it for you so you can know what it sounds like and fits into the music. Once you learn how its done, it will probably be really easy for you to do afterwards.

Cut time music is like common time, but it is two beats a measure and the half note gets the beat. It looks faster, but it's really not when the conductor conducts in two.

I can play it best just thinking of it as a realy fast 4/4. thats me, and I am weird when it comes to learning. I agree, Cut Time is the most annoying (COMMON) signature to play.
