It seems as if some of our members either did not fulfill their obligation in reading our rules during our registration process, or simply choose to ignore our rules and request sheet music when they are not allowed to. Each and every member here has agreed that they read and agreed with our rules when they registered. When you register, the rules are presented to you, and there is a tick at the bottom that you must manually check stating that you agree to these rules.

You may NEVER request sheet music of ANY KIND if you do not have at least 4 stripes. If the poster of a cadence does not give sheet music, do not ask for it unless you have acquired 4 stripes. That said, if you are posting your own cadence here, you can get the best feedback by providing audio and visual files of your piece.

It really sucks that I have to post this reminder at all, but it really gets old when we have to constantly keep up with dealing with members breaking this rule. "Please don't do that." "Please don't do that." "Please don't do that." It is quite aggravating. Sometimes it gets so annoying, that I just outright ban the member. Don't be next. Read and follow the rules. ...and then get back to practicing!

Does that include tap-offs and one particular rudiment?

By "sheet music" we mean a composition, transcription, or arrangement. Asking how to play a rudiment is okay. Tap-offs would fall under something not to ask for if you do not have at least four stripes.

They're a bit minor...might I ask why, just for reference?

Thus people continue to break the rule. I guess I have to post big, red, flashing letters in the header to get through to these people... and even then, it would still get broken.

Thus is the second commandment: thow shalt not request music if un-supportive of DLO for fear of Flashing red letters and the Wrath of Monkey Man.

Thus is agian, law.
