Keep in mind that the majority of these scores are corps that have not performed this season. It will be this way for the first week or so until every corps has performed. Then is when you will get a feel for how your selected captions will fair. We will only have "accurate" scoring once every corps performs at atleast 3 shows, so they will gain momentum and their scores will start to have some sort of simple trend.

Ah. Does that explain why the scores I received at my first 2 competitions have changed a bunch of times?

There was some confusion as to how to score a DCI corps that does not compete on a given day that have yet to compete or have competed less than 3 times so far. The scores have just been fixed to reflect the scoring policy in The Handbook.

That explains it, but it's a little frustrating having medals taken away after they've been awarded to you.

That's funny... really! If that's the case, then that applies to a lot of the corps in my division, some who lost gold medals.

Oh yeah . . . well I gained a gold. Jut goes to show you what not using drugs can do.
