Greetings from the newest fantasy drum corp, The Happy Campers. My name is Matt Camp (director) and this year has already brought about much excitment and expectations for our first year in competition.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish much success to all the organizations this year, both old and new, while on the road to finals.

On a side note, there has been a previous post made about the organization and myself. For the record, this post is false and was posted only as a sign of weakness that demonstrates the fear another corps has in this organizations abilities, both on and off the field. I have said it before and I will say it again, "This group can weather any storm. . . including a hurricane."

RON CLARK HIRED AS VISUAL DESIGNER

The Happy Campers are proud to announce that they have just hired Ron Clark as their visual designer.

"We couldn't be more thrilled," raved corps director Matt Camp. "We've heard such astounding stories about him! He seems like he has such a perspicacious eye for detail. We are also going to put a plethora of Boston leans in our show, because that's what they do in Boston. We now have a nefarious plot to take down all the other corps in Division 6!"

We asked for comments from the members, but most of them were being rushed to the hospital due to too many collisions on the field from how the drill was written.

ABOVE PRESS RELEASE DEEMED FAKE

Sources have determined that the above press release is fake.

"We knew it couldn't be real," reported one investigator. "Camp doesn't use big words like that."

The press release staff apologizes for any inconvenience and misinformation.

HAPPY CAMPERS ANNOUNCE CORPS COLORS
Choices widely hailed as "the perfect duo"

The Happy Campers enthusiastically announce their corps colors today. From this day forth, The Happy Campers will now be associated with the colors light pink and hot pink. The corps director, Matt Camp, confided to the press that these two colors have always been his favorite, and he is looking forward to displaying the Happy Campers' uniforms that are entirely made of those colors.

"Tres chique," commented Matt Camp.

The press release following this is false.

Just for the record. . . the happy campers would first like to wish the best of luck to all corps this season. On a side note our uniforms are not any shade of pink and the hurricane director who has posted this statement is horribly wrong. I also find it interesting that she quoted me and never talked even to me. Funny how that works, isnt it? Not all of us can have "cool" white uniforms with purple weather signs on them. LOL. And in other camp news, the director of hurricane has been found guilty of fraud and will miss the first half of tour for sure due to court dates. Apparently you arent allowed to start a feeder corp only to fold them and take their money. thats all from the campsite. Looking forward to friday night.

HURRICANE BLOWING HAPPY CAMPERS AWAY
Campers simply beginning to admit that "It's Hurricane season"

Hurricane would just like to rub it in the director of the Happy Campers' face that he has not yet medalled, and as of today, Hurricane has ALL gold medals.

Reporters asked kids from the Happy Campers to comment, but most were too busy having their own conversations. In blue. I mean, they were having their own blue conversations because they are so sad that Hurricane is absolutely blowing them away. All one of them would say was, "It's Hurricane season, I guess." The ones that weren't too depressed or lethargic to answer questions simply ignored us, as they were too busy playing grab-@ss.

Allegedly, there has been documented video footage of the corps director of Hurricane approaching the corps director of The Happy Campers, taking a pair of tenor mallets, and running her fingers through them, saying, "Have a good run-through!" Analysts are uncertain as to the meaning of this and whether or not it was in a mocking manner. Many speculate that later, off camera, The Happy Campers' director had just one finger for Hurricane's... The source of this footage is unknown, but can be purchased off of some unknown marching percussion website.

Experts say that it is quite possible that The Happy Campers' director had something to do with the performance, hence Hurricane's director mocking him (or so it looks). These experts also have determine that whatever this performance was, it may have scored a bit higher if one of the performer's tenor mallets didn't get caught right before the tenor feature which screwed up his entrance, or if he did the fakes better and didn't come in on the snares' impact instead of the tenor impact... (J/k man I still love... whoever that performer was... he could kick my butt in chops... )

Hurricane, however, does have a sympathetic side and would like to offer The Happy Campers' director a shoulder to cry on, a Kleenex for his tears, and a "Hey, when you're coming from rock bottom, the only way to go is up..."
