I: Medley(Main Theme) Mvt. II: Twilight and Shadow & May it Be Mvt. III: Minas Morgul & The Return of the King "The entire staff has been very excited to be playing The Lord of the Rings. It makes it fun to play fun and familiar music the fans will enjoy(hopefully)," said Painless in an exclusive interview. Member Tally is as follows: Sopranos:20 Mellophones: 16 Baritones:14 Euphoniums:14 Contras:14 Snares:9 Tenors:4 Basses:5 Front Ensemble:11 Guard:25 We'd also like to annouce our newly-hired Percussion Caption Head: TIM JACKSON!!!! "The whole corps is ready for some competition! They want to see how they compare to the other competitors in Division 3, especially the Hurricanes and Chucky Cheeze. We're going to blow the pants off of our audience with our opening tune.(That was for Kama Sutra :P ) It is crucial that you don't lose momentum at the end of the show, and that you have to push until the end! It'll be played in between the ballad and closing tune. "As a drummer, I want to see my drumline shine, not pushed to the back like some marching bands will do. The feature will have the effect of showing the looming battle of Minas Tirith ahead, and we'll be experimenting with "war-drum" like sounds. We have Chucky Cheeze in a dominating lead by approx. 1 point, and then 2nd-6th are spread out by less than 1 point. With a current 6th place ranking, Mr.Painless is satisfited, but still wants more. "I know being in the top 6 is very good, but I still want more from the corps, because I know and they know that they have the ability to be right up there with Chucky Cheeze and Central in the Top 3. In one night, the MCC have gone from being behind .25 points to ahead by a VERY narrow lead of .05 points! Corps Director M. Painless said earlier: "I'm going to have to push the corps and they're going to have to push themselves past their limits if we hope to take the gold in Madison this week. Chucky Cheeze and Hurricane are both very good corps and could very well overtake us, which is why we're going to have to work our rear-ends off.
