After there recent show in Cedarburg, WI We were able to interview MCM's Director Adam Smith and Percussion Caption Head Aaron Swick.
Q: How do you feel about the performance your corps put on today Adam.
Adam: It was a decent show a lot of things are starting to look good out there.
Q: What can you tell us about your recent scores.
Adam: Well scores are scores, judges are going to say what they think is right. As for our inconsistencies, well that's something our corps has to deal with. It is probably the biggest thing holding us back right now. We are a young corps however and hopefully with a bit more time the kids will see what needs to be done. They have done an excelent job thus far its just a matter of stepping it up and taking it to the next level.
Q Aaron the last few days or so the percussion section has looked a bit weak on the feild and the scores reflect it. What is goin on and what do you plan to do to resolve it.
Aaron: All year we have been playing inconsistantly with each other. It's getting to be that time of the season where the judges are nailing us for the little things.
Q: will we be seeing the hose come out in the near future?
Aaron: (laughs) Not yet. You won't see us watering the book done yet. It's not a matter of the notes being hard as it is not paying attention to the little things. To answer how were going to fix it, we are going to spend a bit of extra time at sectiionals getting each section solid and then pull everything together.
