The Fivesters Notes of Doom "A Day in the life of a drummer" An close-up in the life of the center snare Ryan Anderson. Ryan is currently studying in the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he served center snare for his sophomore and junior year. He is close to finishing his years in high school and this will be his ageout year. He was with the Music City Fivesters last season but was promoted to Drum Captain and center snare this season. He was also the center snare his junior year and well as drum captain. His senior year he played center tenors and fulfilled the spot of drum captain as well. He is currently a music ed major at UTK. Ryan-"I chose to do corps two years ago and found a spot here in the Fivesters, I was glad to just be marching where I was offered a spot. I do love the Cavaliers and SCV but I was glad to be here and be given such a title that comes with great honor to me." Ryan-"From the experiences back in high school things have been a little bit better for me. The staff has been so helpful and has contributed twice as what they actually get. I am happy that they do listen to ideas given by members from time to time. Personally, I think that ideas come and go but it really takes more than a couple of minds to find a great one." Ryan-"This year is my age out year and I will definately enjoy and I will be ready to play every second of it. This is the year to give it my best and have no regrets of marching or messing something up. If I do mess something up then I know that I would have recovered it as best as possible."

The Fivesters Notes of Doom "A close-up look at the Visual side of the road" An interview with Guard Caption Head Austin Hunter and Guard Captain Lacy Asters Lacy-"Being Guard Captain this year definately made my age out year become a memorable one. Things are hard to do but I always seem to find a spot where everything just comes together and then everything runs smoothly." Austin-"This is my first year in this organization and I really like how everything takes its place. I love working with these kids that come every camp and give it all they can and then go back to school the next day." Lacy-"I am definately looking forward to the summer and it will mean that this is the best summer of my life." Austin-"This summer the Fivesters will unfold a corps that has never revealed themselves before."

Phil Hansen-"This definately shows the drumline that they are going to be one of the best out there right now. This was our main focus this year and we accomplished it before the season."
You're saying the best lines were in the corps that were nixed?

The Fivesters Notes of Doom LIVE from DLO Midwestern! The Music City Fivesters just performed their show and the members are back to their truck. We are outside here talking to Drumline Member Tom Handor and Color Guard Rookie Kaytlin Handor. How did you both feel about this show? Kaytlin- I am happy to be with this corps my Rookie year. I am here with my brother and we are spending our time together this summer which we never thought it would happen. Performing out there with my brother in the same field as myself is definately an awesome experience. Tom- I have been in this drumline since the Fivesters started and I loved it and came back every year. I am about to age out next summer and I know which corps I want to do it in. I love the fact that my sister is sharing this experience with me. Now I can tell my family that her and I do things together. What made you guys join the Fivesters? K-My brother was my inspiration. I had seen him my sophomore year which was his senior year in high school and I saw the love and character it gave him and I told my parents I wanted to do the same thing. T-My old drum instructor in high school was in a drum corps and he always told us the things they would do in tour and the things that his friends and him learned. He also told us that it was fun as well as hard work. I talked to him during my start of my senior year and he pointed me out to the Fivesters. How did both of your parents react about being in the same field this year? K-They loved the fact they did not have to cheer for two different corps for both of us. Even though next year I will be marching with a different corps I know exactly where I will be aging out at. T-They had no problem with both of us being here. They told us we had to funded ourselves but it was part of the deal Kaytlin and I made with each other. We both worked at the same place in the fall and spring to pay for corps and we both motivated ourselves to be on this field together. Motivation was a key in this family reunion, so what would have happened if one of you did not raise their money? K-I told Tom that we needed to make an agreement and he definately went for it. He said if one of us cannot march then both of us cannot. T-We definately wanted to make this summer about us both being together, we went through bad times but this is a good time for us right now since we made it. Seat Partners on the bus and everything. Some of the people think that is awesome that brother and sister get along in corps, believe me, we don't all the time. LIVE from DLO Midwestern Talking to Mello player James Trois How did you feel about this show? James-I felt it was intense for me but I bet that it gets even more intense by the end of the season. Do you think you will make it to top 8 this summer? J- We made it once, we can make it again.

The Fivesters Notes of Doom The Fivesters have moved from 7th place to 5th place during Finals. The whole corps finished their "Dream" Season this year and most of the staff will be coming back next year. We have the Fivesters Drum Majors Landon, Kat and Hunter plus Percussion Captain Ryan Anderson, Guard Captain Lacy Asters and Brass Sergeant Tommy Hentford. Hunter, are you going to come back to the Fivesters next year or go back to the UK? H- I think my time here will be done once I turn 22, I am coming back and plan on transferring to the US permanently during the school year. Lacy, this is your ageout year, what will you do next? L-I was offered a spot in a local DCA corps next year but will turn it down considering that I will concentrate more on college right now after having a spectacular season. Landon, this is an age out year for you as well, any plans? L- I was actually invited back to be a visual coordinator for the Fivesters next year and will be taking that responsibility as well as teaching the new drum majors during spare times during camps. Ryan, this is not your ageout year, what will you do next year? R- I will be aging out next year so I will definately be back. Tommy, you are going to be in the UK next year, what will you do about drum corps? T- I will be taking a semester off and will go to UK after I finish next season, directly after. Kat, will you be coming back next year? K- I will be going on to a different corps next year due to my family moving to Alabama. I will most likely be doing Spirit but those plans have not been made yet, there is a possibility of me coming back to the Fivesters. We also have the Staff Announcement for next year. The Fivesters are proud to announce their 2007 Staff Corps Director: Patricia Hernandez Program Coordinator: Lou Hutchins, Randie Louis Drum Major Coordinator/Visual Staff : Landon Waters, Kacey Stevens, Don Ulis Tour Manager: Robbie Ashland, Andy Reys Program Consultant: Lyle Siens, Ann Walters Brass Caption Head: Tommy Jamison, Jamie Hall Brass Staff: Ally Habers, John Medos, Ryan Tambors, Emily Gines Percussion Caption Head: Phil Hansen, Tommy Ashton Percussion Staff: Eddie Addos, Mark Istead, Ray Smith, Gil Waines Visual Caption Head: Brian Rew, Hannah Phillips Visual Staff: Greg Stohn, Sam Falco, Dan Fishers, Steve Fass Guard Caption Head: Austin Hunter, Jessica James Guard Staff: Emily Richardson, Hunter Ristl, Will Gray, Andrew Rochs, Allison Hunter
