The Engineers are returning to DLOFDC this year after a respectable 10th at last year's Finals. The Show has been decided but not official announcement will be made until a later date. Also, the corps has held auditions and the corps lineup is a follows: 25 Sopranos 18 Mellophones 10 Baritones 8 Euphoniums 10 Contras 10 Snares 5 Tenors 5 Bass 7 Pit (3 Mallets, 1 Tympanist, 3 Assorted Percussion) 25 Guard (10 will use weaponry and flags, 15 will use only flags, all will use dance) 2 Drum Majors All Percussion Instruments are from Dynasty USA. The Brass contract is in limbo due to some miscommunications with service and durability. Other Brass manufacturers are being looked into and we may change our Brass outlook in the near future. The Uniforms are the same as last years and the staff will also remain the same.

*PRESS RELEASE TO ALL DLOFDC FANS* The Engineers have decided their songs for this years "The Elf and the Princess" theme. If the director may make a note, the songs will all be from "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time". The opener will be the "Hyrule Field" Theme. Where our hero begins his quest. The Second piece will be "Epona's Song" which reminds our hero of his home. The third movement takes us to the market with the very cheery and light feeling "Market" song, where our hero meets Princess Zelda for the first time, with a brief yet powerful and dark snippet where our hero encounters Ganondorf for the first time. The fourth movement will be a drum feature which is based off the "Dance of the Gorons" and also includes the darkness of the "Song of Time" melody. "Saria's Song" is then presented after this piece and is transitioned to the "Kakariko Village Ballad". This slow and moving piece gives one last look before the final battle begins. "Battle" is the next piece where, as you can guess, the epic confrontation between Link and Ganondorf culminates when Ganon is defeated, Zelda's Lullaby soothes the souls of all who were affected and a return of "Saria's Song" shows the aftermath of the battle and an original hero-inspired piece finishes the story. So, for those counting and a more brief notice. Songs are: 1) "Hyrule Field Theme" 2) "Epona's Song" 3) "Market" 4) "Dance of the Gorons"/ "Song of Time" (Drum Feature) 5) "Saria's Song" 6) "Kakariko Village Ballad" 7) "Battle" 8) "Saria's Song Reprise" 9) Original hero inspired finale Also, we have decided to use Kanstul Brass instruments for this season. After a lengthy process of auditions, Kanstul just seemed to have the power and subtleness that we need.
