Pre-season Information

The 2006 Drumlines.org Fantasy Drum Corps season is in the works! I'm setting everything up behind the scenes and will be opening registration in about a month or so. Below is a link to a list of corps from last year and their division seedings for this year if they field a competing corps. ***Edit*** But keep in mind, if a fantasy corps from last season folds, everyone below them moves up a spot. http://www.drumlines.org/dlofdc/files/2k6Seedings.htmJust as last year, new corps registering this year will fill in starting at the highest seed in the last division available (Division 4 - Seed 09 if everyone from last year fields a competing corps). There will be an unlimited amount of divisions. If Division 4 fills (maximum of 25 corps per division) a Division 5 will be created, and so on. ***Edit*** Division advancement of your fantasy corps from season to season is a real possibility. If your fantasy corps competes in Division 4 this season, and places in the top 5 in Division 4, your fantasy corps is guaranteed a spot in at least Division 3 for 2007's season. Theoretically, a Division 4 fantasy corps can make Division 1 in their 4th season, maybe even as soon as 2nd season if enough fantasy corps above them don't return. Finally, I have put together this year's caption chart, so you may start going over it and formulating strategies. If you have no clue what a caption chart is, don't worry - we'll explain it in detail a little later. http://www.drumlines.org/dlofdc/files/captions.htm*Blue Stars' caption scores were obtained by subtracting 20% from their final caption scores from 2005.

Well, I've had my fair shares of losses and the like. However, I've had my victories. Jackson Flares= another one to bite the dust this season as if he hasn't bit enough of it before last season's finals week. My real goal is the Rodgerers, but I'd be happy to make top 5.
So now your calling the corps itself a he? And according to our recollection (and this ) we beat The Engineers at Finals. Oh well, we're going to beat you . . . again, no sweat.

Wow, a bit top-heavy, don't you think? Way too many trumpets . . . technically too many mellophones, but I'll let that slide . I hope your contras can blast.
We've got our site at the same place it's been, but it's not been updated yet.
Okay, slightly updated now. We'll announce this in the Flares' thread in a bit, but just to let the cat out: We're going all "G," baby! Woohoo! Prepare to have your faces blown off!

I have updated the page that shows all registered fantasy corps to include information pertaining to their schedule and caption status. http://www.drumlines.org/dlofdc/showreged.fdcThis is also linked from the DLOFDC sidebar. If you have been assigned a division, you will notice either a green 27 or a lesser, red number in your fantasy corps' row. If your number is red, it means you can add more competitions to your schedule and are encouraged to do so. If your number is a red 0, you are risking your fantasy corps' future as is detailed in the handbook. There is also a captions row which states whether or not the fantasy corps has picked captions. If you have a green YES, you are good to go. If you have a red NO, then hurry up and pick those captions already! If you don't do so by the deadline, you're risking your fantasy corps' future!

It's not hard to pick a winning combination...
I mean, Division 1 directors have 104,710,904,424 possible choices.
Division 2 directors have a small 89,259,851,322 possible combination choices.
Division 3 and on down have a measely 80,902,607,598 possible choices.
It's not hard to pick a solid "A" grade selection of captions.

Possible choices of what? Combinations of captions that will produce an A grade? Combinations of captions that will use all allotted points? Or combinations of captions period? Be careful man, I just took the AP Statistics test a few days ago and I got over 100% on the mock AP...
