Well it depends on how much you are going for looks. If you want ever person to look that same, then you probably should go for a pony tail or something. (thats what I had to do when I had long hair.) But if it's not too professional then it should be fine.

I believe that long hair looks very bad with band uniforms. Put the hair into a tight bun at the top of the head that can be covered by whatever headgear you use. When not using headgear it was a ponytail for everyone (this convinced all our guys to get rid of their long hair).

Our band doesn't wear any jewlry unless its ear studs. Plugs and rings are taken out. No bracelets or necklaces. The point is to look as uniform as possible. Some judges like that. Some don't notice, but it just makes the over all effect better. Nothing too flashy. No "Bling"

The only jewlery allowed is charm necklaces or something along the lines of that, but not chokers or anything visible while in uniform. Also a stud earring of the School colors are allowed in the left ear only.
