Just Curious, Do Your Instructors, BD, or Competition in General allow you to wear earrings while marching? Its Not a problem for us as long as they're studs.

We're not allowed to wear any jewelry. The only exception is if someone just had their ear pierced and has to leave it in. If that's the case, they usually have to put a band-aid over it to make it look like skin.

I don't allow the line I teach to wear any jewelry. Aside from general deportment, its for safety. I believe it was PercUp! 2004, I saw a guy get his earring hooked on a carrier as he was taking it off. Ripped through his ear.

solution: if you've got your ear pierced, they make translucent plastic plugs for when you have to take out the earring. Get one of those so you don't have a bandaid on your ear. That looks silly.

We're not really allowed to wear earrings during our performance at a competition. But I let it slide if people in the drumline are wearing earrings (plus I'm always wearing earrings, haha) as long as they aren't big like hoops or something.

i thik it Looks Tacky to Wear anything other then what your Uniform should Be.

I think ALL jewelry should be removed. even during Practice because then you wont get used to Drumming with it on. you know, Like a Vise.

Every year, our band director does the same speech of what's allowed and what isn't. The only things we are allowed to wear are watches and earrings. They have to be studs, though, and necklaces have to be tucked into the shirt if they don't want them taken away. Somehow, people get away with wearing things that they're not supposed to, though. They say that we're not allowed to have them, but they don't check.

I had an earring ripped out of my ear during practice, and lost it. It hurt so bad. I've never worn anything besides studs since then to games or practice.

Ours can't wear anything. I do a final check right before we hit the field. anything they have goes in my pocket. Starting next year, they'll have to do pushups to get them back.

I've had an earring ripped out on a carrier. Hurts like the penis, but I learned my lesson.
