This past indoor season, I was marching tenors and at the end of the last movement we have these sets we call the "death sets" because they are really fast and your moving really far all while being inches from each other, the best way to describe it would be navigating an asteroid field.
Well we had a show one weekend where I was really really sick, but I marched anyway. I held up really good the entire show until we got to the death sets, my mind went completely blank and I was holding on for dear life not to get killed.
The day after we had a rehearsal, and one of our basses mom took a video of the performance and brought it in, we watched it and during the end everyone pointed out me, I looked like a space cadet, I have a look of terror on my face, I'm bobbing and weaving, not playing a thing and my set heights were in the sky.
Talk about facepalm*
