My stpudist moment was when we were walking to our starting area for a parade two seasons ago. I had my snare on and I couldn't see the ground infront of my feet... Well little did I know, there was a not very wide, but incredibly deep hole in the ground right in front of me. Best of all it had a big traffic cone stuck into it UPSIDEDOWN! So I step right into it and I yell F**K! as loud as humanly possible on the way down. Everybody heard from atleast half a block away and looked directly at me at the exact same time... *imagine an entire parade full of people turning to stare at you at the same time* and my knee hurt like crazy throughout the whole parade.

My second most embarising moment was when they made fun of the parade incident durring the senior improv skits we did at the end of this last band camp. My section leader goes up, falls, and yells "F**K, MY KNEE!" and then "F**k, MY APPENDIX!"

*I had had a ruptured appendix a half month before band camp started this last year and missed 1/4 of camp*

P.S. Don't learn drill with your drum on durring a heat wave right after you've just had major abdominal surgery.

Heh, I laugh so hard if I saw that in a parade. Did you do anything serious to your knee in any case?

When I stepped into the hole, my leg went in so far that my kneee was level with the ground, so when I fell forward, my knee torqued a little, but It was completely fine by the day after.

It was pretty funny through and through... even right after I fell. I was on the ground, my drum came off and I rolled onto my side holding my knee and I just start laughing my aas off yelling "Whats with the f**kin random hole in the ground!?! OHHH AND THERES A TRAFFIC CONE IN THERE, GREAT, JUST WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE TO WARN ME!!!"

i walked into a "no parking" sign with my bass on...
i once dropped a mallet in the lot, i had to pick it up, picking it up does't seem like a big deal, but when there are people watching you in the lot and your instructor is just trying to make a point, when he could have just handed it to you, it's not fun...

Hah, I marched into a trash can at Cedar Point with my bass and split it open, it was so funny. At the time I was freaking out, but having the band behind just makes it so you can't help but smile a bit. But I caught heck for it when we got back to the school from the rest of the band. Every single time I walked by trash can they would form a living shield around it and tell me the madness had to stop. It wasn't funny then, but it is now!

We were learning drill last weekend for winter drumline and we have this move where we go in a circle then reverse it. You have to do a stop and go kinda thing but then i tried to not do that and whipped my left leg from where it was on count 7 to where it would be on count one and my whole body just flew around and my leg collapsed so Im laying on the ground and i almost yelled F**k as loud as i could but i didn't. And then of course my instructer looksa t me and says this is what you dont do in this move. Then went on for another 5 min on how someone will get hurt if you do it wrong etc. (thankfully we didn't have drums on)

I've done that one. Except I hit a bystander (student to be precise) with one of my bass mallets. The bass line was stradling the basses for the Hey Song. So I'm going at about 15 inch stick height, and I accidently let go and hit one of my friends right in the face as he enters the gym. He had a huge bump, but he was laughing his butt off becuase it was so dang funny.

My first year marching quads, I dropped a stick at a show. I freaked because it was the first time I had dropped one, and I stupidly bent down in that akward quad-playerish way to pick it up. Well, I forgot this was a big move into a halt which was the drum feature. Once the drum feature started, the whole band is halted and the drumline is playing without me. Meanwhile I'm walking 10 yards to the set looking like an idiot.
