Is anyone on here familiar with the Badger Marching Band Program or Drumline? I'm looking to apply there after my senior year (Not just for the band) and I've heard both really good things and really bad things about them.

Their marching step wont be a problem for me, my HS band is pretty similar.

The marching band is your typical Big 10 marching ensemble...large group with a big sound. The last time I saw the their drumline they were fairly small. I believe they are still using tri-toms and generally only 6-7 snares on the field.

Regardless of the band it's a great academic institution.

they use dual toms, a high set and a low, not sure on how they split/ play parts as thier band hasnt been out to ann arbor since 03. I would say they are more of a traditional big ten, as most of the big ten have moved on to more contemporary typs of marching and playing (outside of pregame) I think OSU and UW are the only big tens to still high step halftime/postgame. other schools,
have abandond the high step completely, or at the very least moved to a 45* chair step.

The pictures on the band website are showing tri-toms now. Not sure how long they've had them.
