what's yours? Personally I warm up with Eights, Double Beat, a tap accent exercise and tap fives in the tempos between 120-160. Then I work out of Jeff Queen's book and work on stuff I need for my corps and high school. Then I chop out with tap fives at 180 and cool down with Eights at 120. What about you guys?

Do you mean you spend five minutes on each of those exercises or five minutes altogether?

Everything i warm up with is out of the Blue Devils book, Eights, Bucks, Triplet Diddle, Triplet Roll, 16-32nd note

and one that's not in there, my school's double beat exercise.

Then practicing I'll work through Stick Control and Accents and Rebound, and go through cadences and such, anything we may be playing that week, or just whatever comes to mind.

littlesnareboy,
thanks for asking, I spend only about 30 minutes a day on a pad for several reasons. First, I found when I was practicing on the pad a whole lot, I was developing pad hands. Second, I work a full-time job outside of drumming and just teach part time when I can. So this does limit a lot of practice but allows for some. I spend about 5 minutes on basic warm-ups & 25 minutes working on a book or whatever.
