I have heard you can't use a kevlar head... not sure if that is true though.

I love this drum. When I first got it, it sounded very bad. But once I messed around with the tuning I found that it has an amazing tone to it, and has a good range of sounds. You just have to tweak around with the tuning, but you can get some amazing quality out of it. I love it!
