Play this single-ply head hard, without fear of trashing it. The Power Center dot, with its unique perforations, adds durability and focus where the stick falls most. Yet it remains open and warm at the edges.

Also: Product is available in "reverse dot" for players who use brushes.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great Attack and Snare Response
Cons: Raised dot catches brushes, Center Rebound limited

I bought this drumhead a couple months ago following a recommendation of a friend who said "i love that thing [drumhead]. it simply wont break! [in sarcastic, but positive tone]"
He was right, this head is awesome.

The Power center head makes a huge difference in the attack you get out of the drum. Before I had a Coated REMO Powerstroke III on my snare and it had too much overtone sometimes. Once I put this head on, it was amazing. I would have never thought a 1 ply head could produce such an amazing sound. I like my snare heads cranked semi-high (not Chad Sexton - 311 high, but high) and this head can still do the trick.

Cons:
1 ply can give a sense of insecurity. After tuning it up after a month or so, the head seemed a little "too cranked" so that can make you a little nervous when tuning it up. (Hasn't failed me yet though)

Rebound is limited in the center of the head because it is more dense. Double strokes and buzzed rolls are still achievable, but usually by using the outer part of the head or by cranking the head tighter.

Overall, this head is quite phenomenal for a 1 ply coated head. I used this on a 14" slingerland snare drum from the 70's and that drum just sounds beautiful.

2 drumsticks up!
