Description: Features:
Paul Rennick, Director and Arranger of the University of North Texas Drum Line, and Percussion Caption Head and Arranger of the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps has designed the FS-PR signature model marching snare drumstick. The FS-PR features a long taper and a larger diameter teardrop shaped bead creating a quick rebound and response, while still creating a full tone quality. The FS-PR is an excellent alternative in size and feel to the FS-1 and FS-BK, and a great addition to our Field Series marchin snare drumstick line.

Specs:
  • Heartwood Hickory
  • Teardrop Bead
  • Long Taper
  • Length: 17", Thickness: .692"

Positive aspects of the product (pros): slow long taper, articulate, fast response, good all-around stick
Cons: not available in colors :-(

Great sticks. The PRs are basically the same thing as the FS-1s, but with a longer taper. So, the PRs retain the same quality of manufacturing that the FS-1s do. Also, they are made of the same material, so they have a relatively similar feel and durability. Also, the Rennicks are a good generic stick, unlike many custom drumsticks. The PRs are just slightly different than the FS-1s, so they're not outrageously different custom sticks. They're still awesome for different passages, and different uses. They're a great all-around drumstick.

Also, the longer taper provides a new sound that the FS-1s don't have. It makes the drum sound lighter, and gives it a more precise sound. The shorter taper also gives more rebound back to the drummer, and makes it thousands of times easier to play hard licks.

This is an awesome stick, and if anybody is looking for an alternative to the FS-1, or if you're just looking for a stick to use in your 'Line, I'd definately recommend this.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Light weight and easy on your hands.
Cons: haven't found any

I fell in love with these sticks the instant I picked them up. It took very little effort to move and manage the sticks, which is very nice when you are playing those hand cramping passages.
I recommend these sticks to everyone

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great Feel, Great Weight, Nice tip, Crisp sound
Cons: None

I feel in love with these sticks when it came to my door.

They are fast moving sticks, very verstile.

Unlike other Vic firth sticks, these came matched, and pitched paired.

I would reccommend these to anyone!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Light, fast stick - great feel
Cons: none so far

I really like this stick. It has become my 'go to' option and would be the stick I'd take to the performance. They are quite light and have a good balance and response. I haven't taped them up yet so that may change my opinion but right now they have been a great pad stick for working out new parts.
