Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great feel, has rim and double sided
Cons: gets dirty quickly, cost

Great pad, just got mine the other day. I love how it features a rim and is double sided. only down side is it coasts a pretty penny. I paid 75 with shipping. It also gets dirty rather quickly. But I love this pad!!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Snare feel, rim element. double sided. quiet on the top pad.
Cons: sticky surface, rim is louder than the pad

I preordered this pad in Febuary 2009 for the $60 preorder discount. It took it 2 weeks after is shipped to get to me. When I recieved it, it was in an unmarked box with shipping labels that read OffWorld Percussion. I took some Ralphie Jr's and started taping around. I first noticed that the seemingly smooth looking pad was rough and sticky, and if you were to drop it into the dirt, a lost of brown specks would be visible even after brushing it off. The feel of it is unrivaled compared to basic gum rubber of VF slimpads. The rim is kind of unrealistic because of the amount of sound it produces versus the amount of sounds the pad produces. The rim however is realistic in feel just as the pad.

The top main pad is good for quiet and realistic practice while the otherside is non-stick and good for chops, but it is louder.

Overall 10/10 recommended for any marching snare drummer

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Feel, rim
Cons: Price

Just ordered one today, however I was sold on this pad when I played on my friend's V2. The pad feels absolutely amazing, my HQ RealFeel doesn't feel anywhere near as Real as the Invader did. The price is steep, but once you buy one, you'll realize why. What's even better about it is that once you get one, you'll never need another pad again. These things are incredible, I can't wait until MINE comes in.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good weight, all black, solid rim, 2 sided, sounds great
Cons: very sticky if kept clean

I just got this pad and have a hard time putting it down. I've only played on the 'top' (rim side) because I didn't want to possibly scuff the bottom yet. It has a nice short clean sound but not thin.
My only, funny actually, drawback so far has been that I put the Invader on top of my new snare that has a Black Max on it. The pad was so clean and sticky on the bottom side that it took an Act of Congress and the Jaws of Life to simply lift the pad from the drum - I was laughing the whole time I was struggling with it. You could actually pick up the drum and attached heavy DW snare stand by just lifting the pad.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): feels nice, has a rim
Cons: loud, heavy

I love this pad. It is very nice to play on, and its definately the closest thing to a drum that I've experienced. But, I don't see any way that it could possibly last a lifetime. I've had mine since the spring and its already starting to get "pores" in the rubber in the center of the pad. I dont even play on it everyday, and I didnt take it on tour. I'm pretty disappointed by that, seeing as its a very costly pad and its the second one I've had (I got the original when it came out and they sent me a replacement b/c the rim cracked).

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Darkmatter, Realistic feel, Rim, Articulate
Cons: A bit heavy, gets dirty easy

Amazing pad. Lifetime warranty. Beautiful sound. Realistic rim without the effect a real rim has on sticks (cutting them up, chipping, ect.) Only downside is needs to be cleaned, but it comes with wax and all you need to keep it always beautiful is a bottle of Armor-all. Also the pad is a bit loud without something under it. Usually I just stack it on other pads or put it under a textbook, creates a greatly articulate sound after doing this.

This in my opinion is the best pad on the market.
