Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good feel, Quiet, Cheaper than a RealFeel, Very Sturdy
Cons:

I really like this pad. It has wonderful rebound and is very quiet. Both sides of the pad have their atvantages, so I don't find myself not using only one side of the pad.

I like the soft rubber (grey) side because of its excelent rebound and its lower volume (for practicing all night long without disturbing the other inhabitants of the house). Its great for working on and improving diddle and ruff rudiments.

I really like the hard (black) side because of its deffinite articulation and higher volume. Also because it makes you work a little harder than the softer, grey side.

Anybody who doesn't want to shell out the $40 - $45 for an HQ RealFeel would do well to get this pad.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Just like a reelfeel.
Cons: none

When these pads first came out they used really bad glue and the 2 gum sides just fell off (within the first week). THey changed the glue pretty quickily, and ive had mine for over 2 months and no problem. Get the reelfeel or this one, whichever is cheaper.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Price; feel; sound
Cons: -

I settled on this pad because of the price and feel. I've owned RF, Remo, etc, and this pad is the best so far...

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Great feel, cheap, double sided, sturdy
Cons: Rather heavy

Excellent pad. I was planning on getting a reel feel, but this was about half the price and has a great feel.

The softer side is nice a quite with good rebound. Whereas the harder side is a bit louder and doesn't have as much of a rebound; almost like playing on a table or counter. Both sides have their advantages, and I find myself using both sides.

The only thing I don't like about this pad is its weight, which would make it hard to carry around on a day-to-day basis. Another thing that tends to happen with it is, things like to stick to it. I find lots of dust and car fur and such on the pad, and it's rather hard to get off becuse of the texture of the pads (which is rather interesting).

Over all I give this pad a 9, despite the weight problem since I think the pros of this pad outweigh (sure, pun intended.) the cons. Highly recomended.

* Update (a year later):
This pad is still holding up strong! It's had some serious abuse thrown at it since I originally wrote this review, and it's still doing its job wonderfully. Well worth the $20 and probably one of the best (and cheapest) drumming investments I've made.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Good on the Hands, Cheaper than Competitors
Cons: Rubber side is quite soft

I have been playing on my students pad for the past couple weeks and I do like this pad, but it's definitely second rate to the Real Feel (RF).

The hard black side is great for chops and mimicking the table top kevlar sound, not much different from the RF pads.

The main difference between this VF pad and the RF pad is the gum rubber side. The VF gum rubber is very soft on the hands, and while this is a good thing, I'd prefer something more firm. It almost feels slightly above 'chop block' type firmness. The RF pads have a much firmer and sturdy rubber side which allow for maximum rebound. You can get just about equal rebound on the VF pad, but it just has a different feel altogether and you may end up working a bit for it.

I do like this VF pad though. It's much affordable price is a very significant positive aspect here. I'm not too keen on the rubber side, but sometimes that feel might be just what you want to play on.
A good pad that stands in the shadow of the mighty Real Feel.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): portable, quiet, bouncy, affordable
Cons: wood chips and moves during practice

I bought the 6 inch double sided VF pad because I thought it would fit better in my backpack. The 2 sides each serve their own purpose, quiet practice on the gum, chop building on the neoprene. Its helped me develop my skills and practice without bothering others.

However, I would like to note after having this pad for about 2 months, the wood has really chipped pretty badly. This looks ugly when the black paint is littered with imperfections. That is not my real reason to complain though. The size of this pad was perhaps a mistake. It is portable yes, but its weight is too light. When I start playing double beat, double stops, the pad bounces off the ground unless it is cushioned by a pillow. This starts to bother me during practice and I suppose my only recommendation is to get the larger 12 inch pad. It is unlikely that one will move around as much.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): great rebouns and both sides to get the job done
Cons:

I actually went to buy a real feel pad and the drum expert said this pad would be a lot better. Having played on both of them I liked this one better. It has two sides which can give you two different ways to work out passages.
The quiet side is awesome when you are on the wee hours of 2am practicing while people sleep. .
The black side makes you work harder like other people say. Sometimes this side is the closest thing to a snare drum that I can get.
This is a good pad. Its actually better than Real Feel.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Both sides offer great practice and accurate feel
Cons: The dark side chips paint, and it's rather heavy

This pad is of great quality, and will last you a long time. It's heavy, and hard to lug around sometimes, but it's a great feel and doesn't create pad hands as bad as others. I would recommend this pad to anyone who's looking for a long, and sturdy pad that's great to practice on.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Price, Its a Vic
Cons: The material has somewhat of a texture

This pad is superb, ranking up there with my heavy hitter. It's a Vic Firth product so you know you are getting a solid pad. The two sides, grey soft, black hard, make practicing a breeze, especially if you want to work on a specific aspect(technique, control etc.) The only thing that makes a 9.88 is the texturing on the pad. Other than that perfect.

**** Update******
So my pad still has the texture that annoys me, but overall still good. Weighs a ton but lasts and holds forever, mine despite being tossed around has no major cracks. But the new texturing makes it feel cheaper(just feels different) and less attractive to play on than the old pads. It sounds like a whine but I think there is a difference in the quality. But other than that, perfect
