The David Gross line of maple timpani mallets offer a comb-ination of the finest materials, high quality workmanship, and meticulous design.
The shafts are made from the finest select hard maple, precisely turned with the core and shaft as one piece. We pitch and weight match the handle pairs for a consistent tone. Various densities of felt are used as outer coverings, thus insuring a maximum variety of tone colors. The felt is precisely hand sewn and fitted to each mallet.
The FC series are designed specifically for marching and corps ensembles. A heavier shaft will project your sound better on the field, and the durable synthetic felt is impervious to unkind climate conditions.
