THE LIBRARY
The Digital DrumTech Contemporary Marching Percussion Sample Library is the pinnacle of marching percussion sound production. The DDT Sample Library was designed to allow the user to get the feel of being in or at arms length from a real marching percussion drumline. Pay close attention to the detail of right and left hand attacks, attack zones, velocity layers, percussion map layout, midi mapping and the intricacies that make the DDT Sample Library the ultimate in Contemporary Marching Percussion samples. These samples have been recorded, edited and mixed over a period of months. An extreme amount of time was spent in the planning and creation of this library.

- Recorded with the Yamaha MTS Double Snare with both snares engaged. Includes Sticks, Dreads, Mallets, Center Hits, Edge of Drum Hits, 20" Cymbal Ride, Crash, Bell, Shots, Pings, OTH Hits, Suspended Buzz Rolls with Crescendos and Decrescendos, Crushes and much more! And all Hits are both Right and Left hand!
DDT Snare B Ensemble
- Recorded with the Yamaha SFZ Snare. Includes Sticks, Dreads, Mallets, Center Hits, Edge of Drum Hits, 19" Cymbal Ride, Crash, Bell, Shots, Pings, OTH Hits, Suspended Buzz Rolls with Crescendos and Decrescendos, Crushes and much more! And all Hits are both Right and Left hand!

After mulling over this or VDL for quite some time, I ended up chosing this due to its lower price point. VDL2's inclusion of Pit instruments was something that didn't affect me since my mallet arranging wouldn't even get me a prize at a grade school band show. I was not disappointed with this, it worked exactly as planned. The quality of the sounds and the output of audio files are nice Oddly enough, as an added bonus the mallet sounds are also included in the package at the current time. If you have a compatible sound card or Mac OS X, I highly recommend this from a value standpoint.
